Charging my iPad

To charge the iPad connect through a USB 2.0 plug to your Macintosh or Windows; or use the 10W USB power adapter. The fastest way to charge your iPad is through the 10W USB power adapter.

If you charge through a USB 2.0 plug on your Macintosh or Windows, make sure in the top right It says Charging. If you see "Not Charging" then your USB port on your Macintosh or Windows does not support charging.

If you see the message on your iPad "Charging is not supported with this accessory.", that accessory is not compatible with your iPad. This includes FireWire cables and older iPod accessories that were not designed for iPad.
