Microsoft Excel (*.xls) support?Yes, with the Numbers $10 app that is available through the App Store on April 3rd, 2010 will allow you to open and edit Microsoft Excel documents. What is sketchy until the launch date is if you can save as a Microsoft Excel format. You cannot email an Excel document, only Numbers or PDF format.
3rd party Microsoft Office compatible apps on the App Store may work. Many of them are available too for a range of costs.
