Photos in iPad?Yup. iPad supports photos just like the iPhone and iPod Touch, but it can do so much more. Pinch a photo stack and see what is in there. Enhanced slide shows with music and transitions. Share photos with MobileMe. Photos can recognize faces just like iPhoto on the Mac. Support for Apple's iPad Camera Connection Kit with two adapters to sync your camera's SD card or through a USB connection.
Photos most likely will be down sampled (don't quote me on this yet) as the size for a 9 megapixel photo would take up a lot of space (5MB). The iPad Camera supports JPEG and RAW photo formats and syncs directly through the Photo application. Any pictures added to the iPad will sync to the host Mac or Windows the next time the iPad is connected to iTunes.
Don't forget if you cell phone can send a picture mail, that is a good way to get the photos to your iPad wirelessly.
