The iPad offers connectivity through Wifi (N protocol) and/or 3G cell phone networks. The current provider as of January 2010 is AT&T. iPhone app compatibility is very high the iTunes App Store will have more information on which apps can run on the iPad after April 3, 2010. What is nice is you can run the iPhone apps in normal screen mode (with black borders around the app) or at 2x the size which fills the iPad screen.

The display is an ISP (In Plane Switching) which gives the iPad great color and viewing angles. The iPad has a glass front and an aluminum back.
