You won't be able to use a traditional pen stylus due to the unique make up of how the iPad detects touch. (The same goes for the iPhone and iPod Touch.) 3rd party manufacturers came to the call by offering several colors of a iPad/iPhone stylus.

Now that I also have a screen protector, the stylus will leave "residue" on the screen protector. This is important to know as the stylus will eventually wear out due to the friction between the stylus pad and the screen protector film.

Ten One Design has been offering iPhone/iPod Touch styluses for some time. Now they have the Pogo Stylus for the iPad for $14.95. These work out great.

Source: Pogo Stylus for the iPad
To make sure your iPad battery lasts a long time consider:
- Keep iPad out of the sun or a hot car (including the trunk). Heat will degrade your battery's life.
- iPad is designed to work in between 32 degrees to 95 degrees F. (Or 0 degrees to 35 degrees C.)
- Go through 1 full charge cycle per month (100% charge to 0% percent)

Optimizing your iPad settings will extend the amount of time between battery charges:
- Adjust brightness to a lower setting
- Applications that prevent the screen to dim will drain your battery faster
- Turn off Wi-fi when not using it
- Turn off 3G when not using it
- Use Airplane mode (this will turn off both Wi-fi and 3G).
- Disable location services when not needed in settings.
- Turn off Push Notifications.
- Poll for new data less frequently (like Mail)
- Check only the email accounts you need

Source: http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html

Kind of. Right now no 3rd party applications can multitask. A few of Apple's applications can continue to work while you are in other apps (like iTunes and the calendar's appointments). Perhaps with iPhone OS 4.0 out June 2010, the iPad will multitask.

When you press the home button the application on the screen has 5 seconds before it will terminate (press the home button and count, it will never go over 5 seconds before you get back home). During that time the application can save where you are in their application so when you return you can continue (if the application supports that).

Source: http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/

Yes and No. By default there is no USB port, just the iPod connector. The Camera Connection add on adds a USB port by converting the iPod connector. This is the kicker, it is intended to connect a camera to pull off images. Yup. iPad supports photos just like the iPhone and iPod Touch, but it can do so much more. Pinch a photo stack and see what is in there. Enhanced slide shows with music and transitions. Share photos with MobileMe. Photos can recognize faces just like iPhoto on the Mac. Support for Apple's iPad Camera Connection Kit with two adapters to sync your camera's SD card or through a USB connection.

Photos most likely will be down sampled (don't quote me on this yet) as the size for a 9 megapixel photo would take up a lot of space (5MB). The iPad Camera supports JPEG and RAW photo formats and syncs directly through the Photo application. Any pictures added to the iPad will sync to the host Mac or Windows the next time the iPad is connected to iTunes.

Don't forget if you cell phone can send a picture mail, that is a good way to get the photos to your iPad wirelessly.

Source: http://www.apple.com/ipad/features/photos.html

No. There is no flash player on the iPad. Apple has gone the direction to support HTML5. The benefit is an open standard for all video and audio formats. Some web sites as of March 2010 are starting to rewrite their web sites to support the iPad with no flash while delivering the same content. iPad supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology so any Bluetooth device can work. Printing over Bluetooth is unknown. Pretty much if your iPhone can do it, your iPad can do it. We doubt that Apple's Wireless Mouse will work since there are no mice drivers on the iPad. The Wifi wireless is the standard 802.11 a/b/g/n versions. 3G is the cellular data network using the GSM(2G) and USDPA(3G) signals. iPad should support the 5GHz networks since their other Wifi products do. Speeds are 7.2 Mbit/sec. AT&T speeds are 3.6 Mbit/sec, just like your iPhone. iPad supports the micro-SIM card, the iPhone has a regular SIM card.

The iPad is not locked so if your favorite carrier supports GSM(2G) or USDPA(3G) you should be good. replace the Micro-SIM on the iPad and you are rocking. The 3G version of the iPad comes with a micro-SIM eject tool.

Pricing with AT&T are: 250MB of data is $14.99 per month or Unlimited data is $29.99 per month. You can change plans at any time, add another 250MB chunk at any time, cancel or sign up and any time. iPad monitors your data usage and will remind you if you are getting close to the end of your data allotment.

Source: http://www.apple.com/ipad/3g/
http://www.apple.com/iphone/iphone-3gs/high-technology.html

iPad is a touch screen tablet personal computer that allows the user to use the device as a notepad, music player, movie theater, phone (with 3rd party apps like Skype). The storage on the iPad is 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB; some of the storage is for the operating system (OS) with the rest for your data. The OS is iPhone OS 3.2.

The processor on the iPad is an Apple A4 chip (ARM Cortex A8 CPU and PowerVR SGX 3D GPU).

The iPad offers connectivity through Wifi (N protocol) and/or 3G cell phone networks. The current provider as of January 2010 is AT&T. iPhone app compatibility is very high the iTunes App Store will have more information on which apps can run on the iPad after April 3, 2010. What is nice is you can run the iPhone apps in normal screen mode (with black borders around the app) or at 2x the size which fills the iPad screen.

Dimensions: 9.56 x 7.47 x 0.5 inches (243 x 189 x 13.4 mm) Weight: 1.5lbs. Yes, the same version as on the iPhone / iPod Touch but rewritten. Apple's Mobile Mail supports POP or IMAP servers. Exchange servers support over the ActiveSync protocol. Currently no. With Apple's App review process it will be almost impossible for a malware application to slip through and attack your iPad. The firewall in the iPad should do a good job with keeping people out. As long as you don't jailbreak the iPad you will be safe.

You are correct that the iPad does not have a built-in camera but you have two choices to import pictures directly into the iPad.

With the iPad Camera Connection Kit you can import your photos from an SD card or a camera with a USB plug. Both plug into the 30-pin connector and will hang out from your iPad. I know that is not be "best" option.

I feel that a camera would be useful in the iPad. The megapixels may not be the highest that I would want, so a slimline camera with the SD card adapter may be the best of both worlds?

From http://www.apple.com/ipad/accessories/

Any Bluetooth keyboard will work. Like the Apple Wireless Keyboard.

The iPad Keyboard Dock is available that lets you dock the iPad in portrait mode. The keyboard has special iPad only keys at the top (instead of the usual the function keys). A pass-through 30-pin connector is available and lets you connect the dock to a: Mac or Windows PC; USB Power Adapter, or the iPad Camera Connection kit. An audio line out port is available for connecitng powered speakers.

From http://www.apple.com/ipad/accessories/
