Yew

At first glanc, yew would seem as popular place for adventurers. It is, after all, a village famous for its wine! But perhaps the somber presence of the abbey, or the mellow attitude of the brothers therin, have had a calming effect on the town.

While it is a good place to begin one's career, with plenty of wildlife, trees for harvesting and other useful resources nearby, there are no "regular" shops at which to purchase staples for the devil-may-care lifestyle.

That is not to say it is a waste of time for any passing soldier for fortune. The cemetery nearby is known to be populated by a fair number of undead such as ghosts and skeletons, and thest are a fine way to get good practice, inpove your notoriety, and perhaps earn a coin or two.

Additional information of Yew:

Yew is located in the northwest region of Britannia, on the edge of the Deep Forest. The pastoral city is named for the dense population of Yew trees that surround it. Deep within the woods is hallowed Empath Abbey, home to diligent monks, makers of the best wine in the land. Yew is less of a city than it is a collection of many homesteads. Dirt roads connect most of the buildings, lending credence to the fact that it is a community, but often a considerable distance lies between the house of the various residents.

Most of the houses are simple wooden cabins, although the abbey is made of wood and stone/plaster to give it durability. The High Court, which also houses the land’s second largest jail, is made entirely of reinforced stone, and looks like a smaller version of Lord British's castle.
