The Spring Jousting Tournament at the Village of Fenwich
I want to express my gratitude to all of the Knights who competed in battle to earn the title of Spring Tournament Champion. We have 4 Knights who bring honor and professionalism to the fine lands of Britannia and Malas. They will all be recognized in Fenwich as honorable friends.
I thank everyone for attending and competing in this event! The spirit of Lake Austin still thrives onward!

The Tournament
I believe the majority of people attending had a good time. Some people expressed what we can do to make any future tournaments better. We did listen and will be making a few changes in the Summer Jousting Tournament. Two visitors was from the Great Lakes shard. They added a specialness to the night indeed!
A total of four great Knights signed up prior to the start of the tournament. One additional warrior did sign up right after the tournament started, alas his true nature of using magery during combat found him disqualified. He was truly dishonorable. I must say he did try to create a commotion by not yielding when asked to. His ghost lingered around during the later parts of the Tourmanent.
The Knights who competed were:
- Sadric LXXXVI
- Lord Trakus
- Bishop of Aquila
- Keshin Himura
The warrior who signed up was the dishonorable Reapers Friend.

The Battles
First up we had Sadric LXXXVI against Bishop of Aquila. This was an a honorable fight indeed. Both knights showed their courage by exchanging and taking many lance blows causing a bit of damage. In the end Bishop of Aquila proved to be the winner with Sadric LXXXVI yielding. Both knights were very professional and honorable, they deserve accolates for setting the standard of how a joust match should be done.
The second battle was between Keshin Himura and the dishonorable Reapers Friend. This fight started out good until Reapers Friend decided to use magery which disqualified him from the battle. Keshin Himura was the true winner of this battle. Keshin's actions were very honorable during this fight.
The third battle put Lord Trakus against Bishop of Aquila. This was another honorable fight. Many hits were recorded. It continued until Lord Trakus was the winner of this bout.
Our final battle pitted Lord Trakus against Keshin Himura, both honorable knights. This battle did go until the very end. Many lances exchanged blows. This was a very exciting match to watch and see. Finally we had our Spring Tournament Champion! Lord Trakus!

The Finale of Ceremonies
Lady Rose of Fenwich presented Lord Trakus with the Spring Tournament Champion title and tournament prizes. The Spring Tournament Champion of Fenwich received15,000 gold pieces (check), Full Grandmaster-made Valorite plate suit of armor, a Grandmaster-made Valorite Lance and a Polar Bear head Trophy! (Polar bear head Trophy is courtesy of the Order of Dragon Knights (ODK) guild.)

Here are all of the prizes except for the 15K gold check.
One special Knight brought a Fire cloth crown to be rewared to the Spring Tournament Champion. This was a special and very gracious deed this Knight did. I thank him for his brilliant idea and Lord Trakus appreciated the extra gift.
During the speach of our champion he gave the Valorite armor set to the runner up, Keshin Himura. This was a very glourious act indeed! Keshin accepted and both knights were beaming with smiles. The speach talked about Lake Austin citizens and how we can get together for a evening of fun and adventure, from what I remember. I was so taken up with the gift of the armor I think I missed several sentences.
Lord Trakus wanted the 15K gold check to be given away to someone who is starting out on Lake Austin. I will be on the lookout for that lucky person!

Pictures!
During all of the excitement I have to admit I did not get many good pictures, except for one of the Spring Tournament Champion crowning ceremony. I really hate myself for not getting any of the knights in the middle of battle!
Well here is our small picture gallery of this years Spring Jousting Tournament:
